How to get ripped Abs

Most bodybuilders or fitness enthusiasts alike view “ripped abs” as one of the most precious possession they can have. Getting ripped abs is the most frequently sought out goal for people in the gym. Having Abs can also be perceived as how serious an individual is towards his fitness. Well, the fact is it really requires some determination and fair amount of effort before any one can possess those sexy lean abs.

For most people, who try the ab crunches and the like, having and developing abs isn’t the toughest part. In fact if you are doing crunches since quite a time, you may already be having considerable abs. The real issue is to make them visible. That is because most people , in fact most men store their body fat around the abdominal region. Unfortunately, even so looking leaner people have some fat stored on that place and believe me, removing that is a pain. The abdominal region is one of the most toughest region to lose fat from. The reason why abs take longer time or harder efforts to be visible is because of this fat over the abs.

Is there a Genetic factor involved here? Well, the fact is every guy has his own unique kind of abs in terms of shape, strength etc. So, one good strategy is not to mimic any other fitness guy. Yes, you can have role models but you don’t want exact shape of a body part. Moreover people tend to get de-motivated if they don’t show up improvements in shape of abs exactly as they had desired. Your abs may be genetically shaped a different way and thus after losing fat from the abdominal region you might see different abs than what you desired. This genetic factor is out of your control, so don’t harp on the exact shape of abs.

One major aim that every ab-lover msut have in mind is to lower the body fat percentage to a desired low level. If you can get your body fat levels low enough and perform correct, targeted exercises for this muscle group, your midsection will become an envious possession.

Abs and the diets:- “Abs are made in the kitchen”? Is it true? If you are following what we are trying to say here, body fat is the biggest hurdle in the path to get six pack abs. Fact is, it requires 90% dietary effort and 10% exercise effort for the layer of body fat over the abdomens to get vanished. So, take control over your diet. Actually that won”t be much harder if you are really committed to getting ripped abs. Do this thing right and ou won’t be wasting time like others.

Previously low-fat diet was on the rage and most fitness expers recommended it. But, serious observations have changed this a lot in these years. To decrease body fat, a diet higher in protein, moderate in fat and low or moderate in carbs is great. This helps in two ways:- to control insulin levels better (insulin happens to be the prime hormone that stores body fat in a hypercaloric balance) and also aid in the production of testosterone. Testosterone helps in the development of muscle and thus if you are accompanying your abs exercises with other workouts, this is even more good for you. And by the way, having more muscle also helps in burning more calories and thus cutting body fat.

Though people do get lean on a higher-carbohydrate diet, but for the vast majority, hunger levels are much more manageable on a low to moderate carb approach, which correspondingly makes eating fewer calories easier. Consume sufficient proteins though and remember it all is really going to come down to your total calorie intake.
